About this material
Porcelain slabs are fully engineered — clay and mineral compounds fired at extreme temperatures — which produces a surface that's harder and more consistent than almost any natural stone.
It's non-porous, UV-stable, and resistant to scratches, heat, and stains, which is why it's become the go-to for outdoor kitchens and large-format modern islands.
The tradeoff is fabrication — porcelain is thin and unforgiving to cut, so it takes an experienced shop to get clean edges and cutouts.
